In my post titled “In the News” I told you how, every morning as I read the paper at the breakfast bar, all sorts of wonderful opportunities for service come to me through our lowly Seattle Times. That’s how I met the Soul Sistas. If you attended my Making Mat Meaningful workshop at PMA last year, you met them, too, as an example of how to take the Matwork out of the studio and into the field and how to work with groups. For those of you who didn’t, here’s the background, expanded.
Seattle Times writer Richard Seven is my kind of guy. I’ve been reading him for years and, through his writing, I feel like I know him. Really well. He pulls out of his interviews exactly what I’m hoping to learn. He brings to the fore the most personal, emotional and inspiring aspects of his topic and he’s very fair and realistic. He asks all the right questions.
