Yesterday, Sunday, November 30, I got a ton of stuff done.
Returned loads of emails
I set up a phone conference with a teacher in Tennessee who will be hosting a full Pilates Excel in January
Rearranged my office - this took hours
Reconciled bank statements for five account for the months of September, October and November - this took hours
Cleaned the Zebra carpet in the waiting area
Cleaned the upholstery on the Zebra chair in the waiting area
Organized 8 new folders for work I'll be doing while in St. Pete over Christmas
Edited my Powerpoints for Madrid workshops this coming weekend, this took hours
Pulled about a quarter of 2008 files to be archived during my one week in town during December
Ate dinner with Jimmy and watched the Blazers beat Detroit
During the game, returned an email to a teacher in Australia who needs stable datums, we're Skyping tomorrow to make a plan for me to go there to work with her
During the game, got an email from the seller that my dream condo sold to someone else for $10k over the asking price
After dinner, pulled up a bunch of condos on Craigslist that are near the studio, Jimmy and I sorted through them and made a list that we think I should take a look at, made an appointment with my agent to go see a bunch of them on Monday
I was overdue for a high production day like that and when I feel great, the world steps away and my technology cooperates, I can get more done in one day than I can in 10 when any or all of those obstacles occur.
Today, Susan Ramos called, she's a client who has become a wonderful friend, and she's just back from northern California where she went for Thanksgiving. I thought she was calling to tell me about her holiday but it turns out, she was calling to ask if she could interview me for a project at work. She's becoming a dietetian and she's in an intern program at Fred Hutchison Cancer Care Center.
I love stuff like that so I was happy to answer all her questions.
Turns out, she needed to know everything, including quantities, that I'd had to eat the day before. Sunday.
8 am, my daily morning 36 ounces of ice water with 6 shots of espresso added - it's a huge iced americano!
8 am, my daily morning 24 ounces of most OJ (no pulp) with a splash of Grapefruit Juice over mountains of ice
9 am, once at the studio, reheated four slices (that's half a medium pizza) of extra pepperoni
11 am, 36 ounces of ice water
2:30 pm, my daily mid-day big OJ/GFJ but this time in the big 36 ounce glass
5 pm, 36 ounces of ice water
7:30 pm, 8 ounces (is that half a bottle?) of red
7:30 pm, 3 half stuffed peppers for a total of 1.5 stuffed peppers. She asked if they were green peppers and I gasped and told her, of course not, that Jimmy's gay and would never have anything to do with a green pepper, he only uses yellow, orange and red. I had half a yellow, half an orange, half a red and they were stuffed with tomato, onion, garlic, basil, a hefty pat of butter and some bread crumbs to hold it all together - this is as close to health food as I'll ever get
As Susan was entering the information about what I'd eaten into her computer program, she kept having to call for an override because there's some sort of alert/alarm that triggers when quantities of fluid are consumed in excess of what the human bladder can hold.
I told her that's a load of crap because my bladder is human and it holds everything I put in it.
When questioned about the many hours of nothing between the breakfast pizza and the health food we had for dinner, I pointed out that the OJ/GFJ has got to be 300 - 400 calories, it's enough to stop my hunger pangs and it keeps glucose going to my brain so I don't get stupid and hungry.
When questioned about whether or not I put sugar in my Americano, I emphatically said hell no! My body's a temple! I do not use sugar!
We laughed through the interview, she is going to have to case study me and I told her I'd expect the ambulance to pull up at any time.
Over the years, many loved ones and several strangers who have been startled by my eating habits have tried to get me to change what I eat. To no avail. I weigh 150, 5 pounds more than I did when I graduated from High School. It packs out differently but it's generally the same body now and it was then. Only with wrinkles.
And with my freakish strength and my energy level through the roof, I'm sticking to pizza for breakfast, more fluids than is apprently humanly possible to consume and a super sized red wine before dinner.
Back to today.
Heidi and I were at the studio at 8 this morning to finish the holiday decorations. Both trees are up, one high in the loft and the other in the waiting area and I hung a huge gold ornament inside the skeleton and the mistle toe is hung and we're ready for kisses.
Sunday was my most productive day in months, so much of what I got done had been backed up for months and it feels fantastic to have it all taken care of, at least for now. I was really tired today but took two short naps and now, at 11 pm, I'm really ready for a good night's sleep.
It was a good weekend and a great start to the week.
